I always find it a great honor and privilege to talk about Christmas and the coming of Jesus. One of the traditions I think all of us have at Christmas is the giving of gifts.

I don’t think this will be a massive shock to anyone, but human beings are not naturally generous. If sin causes us to live for ourselves—and it does (2 Corinthians 5:15)—then one result of this obsessive self-focus is the effect it has on the way we think about and use our money.
